It was just after auditions for Spamalot in Late Winter of 2015 that director Norman Eick messaged me and invited me to audition for the role of Lawrence in RPI Player's production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Resarching the role, I found that it was based on a very funny movie of the same name, the role being portrayed by Michael Caine and on Broadway in the musical version by John Lithgow. I was thrilled when Norm offered me the role, and it turned out to be one of the most fun and stress/drama free productions I have ever been in. The role was easy for me, the musicfitting my voice perfectly. I was initially afraid that I would be "left out" as most of the other actors were RPI students and much younger than myself, but I was pleasantly surprised when they treated me like one of their own. I hadn't seen the RPI stage since Frankenstein, and it was great to be back. I hope to work with these folks again very soon.
